Act Like An Animal Camp
We will be accepting registrations for campers that are returning from last year beginning Monday, February 20.
We will accept all other registrations beginning Monday, February 27.
Exciting news! Starlight Theatre, in partnership with the Kansas City Zoo, is proud to announce that once again the popular Act Like an Animal Camp is scheduled not once but TWICE during the summer of 2012! That's right. You read it correctly. Starlight Theatre, along with the Kansas City Zoo, will be offering this beloved, one-of-a-kind camp during two different sessions this summer!
|
|
What's more fun than spending half a day at Starlight Theatre and half a day at the Kansas City Zoo?
This two-week, full-day Act Like An Animal Camp for 5- to 10-year-olds will find campers spending half the day exploring the world of the Kansas City Zoo through hands-on interaction with animals, games, tours, stories and crafts. The other half of the day is spent at Starlight where campers participate in an energetic drama class and learn specialized theatre skills, including storytelling, movement and music. On the final day of camp, parents and friends will view their camper's art work displayed in an art exhibit format and watch their little one(s) perform in a culminating performance!
PLUS! Equally as exciting as the camp itself, each camper will receive two complimentary tickets to join us at Starlight Theatre for this summer’s production of Peter Pan starring Cathy Rigby! That’s right, campers and their guests will enjoy a beautiful night under the stars taking a journey to Neverland (I guess that makes it a night among the stars!)! Campers attending the first camp session will be attending Peter Pan on Tuesday, July 24th, and campers for the second camp session will be attending on Wednesday, July 25th. We also have a surprise in store for our campers and their guests on each of those nights, but we are going to keep that under our feathered caps for now!

The two camp sessions are scheduled as follows:
| |
Monday through Friday, June 11 - 22, 2012
Monday through Friday, July 9 - 20, 2012 (The July session is full. Please contact us to advise if you want to be added to a wait list.)
